On Thursdays I run a term-time painting group, which we call the Scribblers
The group is a meeting place for like minded people to come together to discuss, share ideas and learn -
which is just what we do on Thursday mornings at Whalley Village Hall, near Clitheroe, Lancashire.
The members of the group are lively, enthusiastic and keen to learn techniques. They are willing to be challenged and step outside their comfort zone. Each week we spend the first half hour on a group "activity" - and the rest of the session, each artist works independently on whatever they are doing at the time.
We work in all media and often try new things. and new ways of painting.
It is not recommended for painters with a nervous disposition !
In summer, we venture outdoors to experience the ultimate thrill for artists - working en plein air ....
This is a group for keen beginners and intermediates,
and those who have been painting for a while and feel that they are in a rut because they never challenge themselves or take risks..
Please phone me if you are interested in joining the waiting list for the group
